August 10, 2017 12:47 am | Updated 12:47 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM

As part of all India protest against disinvestment of some units of SAIL, several trade unions staged a dharna in New Delhi on Wednesday demanding dropping of the decision to offload 10% equity in RINL, according to a release here on Wednesday.

CITU leader J. Ayodhyaram, Visakha Steel Employees' Congress general secretary Mantri Rajasekhar and others later called on Union Steel Minister Chaudhary Birendra Singh amd urged him to immediately allot captive iron ore mines to RINL.

They said allotment of captive mines, a long pending demand, would make RINL a highly profitable PSU.
