BSNL revises pre-paid mobile tariff

Some combo vouchers have been introduced, while four of the SMS-based Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) and one Voice STV – 61 have been withdrawn

BSNL has announced rationalisation of tariff and introduction of combo vouchers under 2G and 3G pre-paid mobile services with effect from Thursday.

Some combo vouchers have been introduced while four of the SMS-based Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) and one Voice STV – 61 withdrawn, according to Telecom District Senior General Manager P. Nagaraju.

The new Combo Voucher introduced are: 3G Data Combo Voucher, Voice Combo Voucher, SMS Combo Voucher and All feature Combo Voucher. A new voice combo voucher of Rs.71 has been introduced with a Usage Value (UV) of Rs. 20 and local calls to any network at 30 paise/minute. SMS charges are revised under existing Combo STV-101 (2G) and Combo STV-346 (3G) from 5 paise/SMS to 10 paise/SMS (any network), says Assistant General Manager B. Ravindra Kumar. The revised tariff is being implemented in accordance with the 43 amendment of the Telecom Tariff Order issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The following tables give the features of different vouchers, the tariff, UV, and validity.
