Book review forum celebrates anniversary

With an aim to create creative synergies between like-minded individuals, a book review forum called Coffee Conversation Books (CCB) was formed a year ago. The group celebrated its first anniversary on Saturday. “There are many virtual book review sites like good reads, blogs, where faceless reviews are posted. A real-time platform is missing in these days of technological inundation. CCB’s aim is to bridge that gap. Before starting the group, we did a research to find out if there are any exclusive book review meets that were active. While there were sizeable numbers of literary forums, exclusive book review meetups were not there in the city,” said J. Radhika, one of the founders of the group.

There are doctors, software professionals, artists, businessmen, library owners, authors, translators of books, researchers and homemakers who are a part of the group. CCB is a wing of APEX (Attitude Promotion towards Excellence), which is a service vertical supported by JGK & JJ Trust founded by noted mathematician late Prof. Jonnalagedda Gopala Krishna, J. Jayasri and Radhika. There is no membership fee for CCB. Those interested to join the group can send a request to apexccb@gmail.com.
