City BJP workers on Thursday went in a scooter rally from the Gandhi statue at the GVMC and garlanded the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Waltair Uplands.

BJP State executive member J. Pridhviraj said Patel had strived for accession of 500 princely states to India after Independence, but the Congress government had ignored him.

State executive member P.V.N. Madhav said that if Patel became Prime Minister he would have freed the country of corruption.
