Inspired by the Kathanilayam of Kara Master, Nanduri Ramakrishna has set up Pusthaka Alayam under the aegis of Kala Vedika Cultural and Charitable Trust.
Starting with a collection of 2,500 books, the trust plans to increase it to 50,000 in due course of time. Divided into two blocks the book collection aims at helping every bibliophile and researcher access some of the best works in Telugu under one roof. The book bank aims at having a collection of works of well-known writers and also upcoming modern writers in Telugu, says founder president Nanduri Ramakrishna. The walls will also be decorated with the pictures of the well-known writers.
The book bank would help people of all ages read best works on all subjects by noted writers. It would also provide an opportunity to researchers to read all the works of some of the noted writers for their academic study.

While one block of the Pusthaka Alayam was inaugurated by Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju, the second block was launched by scientist and artist Nemani Krishnamurthy. A large number of litterateurs and book lovers attended the inaugural.
