Welcoming the monsoon season, a group of Bengalis hosted a cultural programme at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant’s Ukku Club, recently.

The dark clouds in the horizon and pitter patter of the rain during the monsoon season had inspired many poets in Bengal such as Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, Atul Prasad and Kazi Nazrul Islam.

The songs that were rendered were a collection of songs and poems penned by Tagore, Prasad and Nazrul. The songs were embellished with the traditional dance.
