Art of Living to conduct yoga courses from April 22

Organisers say techniques will be taught to beat stress

The Art of Living, Visakhapatnam, is conducting various yoga courses for children and teenagers this summer from April 22 to 25.

For children between seven and 13 years of age, ‘Utkarsha Yoga’ workshop will be conducted.

The organisers said that empowering techniques that foster peace of mind, mental clarity, focus, physical relaxation and emotional stability are a few contents of the workshop. Some of the techniques taught in this workshop include Children Kriya (unique breathing technique), games, interactive sessions, music and dance, team work, dynamic stretches and creative activities etc.

For those aged between 14 and 18 years, “Medha Yoga Level-1” workshop will be conducted for teenagers

. Teens face emotional stress like low self-esteem, depression, anxiety and stress that inhibit learning.

Some of the techniques taught in this workshop included yoga, meditation, Sudarshan Kriya, fun-filled games, focus, mental clarity, knowledge sessions and much more.

The venue for the courses will be Niranjan meditation hall at Dondaparthy in Visakhapatnam. While Utkarsha Yoga will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., Medha Yoga level will be organised from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Happiness programme

Meanwhile, a three-day happiness programme workshop will be organised for those 18 years and above from April 17 to 19, at the same venue. As per the organisers, the programme is structured on simple step by step knowledge sharing approach. It is highly interactive and experiential. It includes simple breathing techniques like pranayama,yoga and meditation.

The timings for the event is 5.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
