A whale of a time at Novotel

About 1,000 boys and girls had a whale of a time at Novotel Visakhapatnam, Varun Beach here on Sunday.

‘Kids Carnival' was organised ahead of the hotel's inauguration later this month. Children in the age group of 7-15 years from some corporate schools as well as the SOS Children's Village and FXB India Suraksha participated. The later were involved in the programme as part of the hotel's CSR activity.

The pre-convention area and the adjacent large convention hall, which can accommodate around 1,500 people was packed with children who were scurrying around, playing games, riding a rodeo, drawing and having fun.

There was also a dance floor and emcee Dilruba Pandey managed to give everybody a chance to dance to the tunes of their favourite songs.

In between the competitions and running around, the children enjoyed a variety of snacks served by the hotel staff.

Saikrishna, Sujit Datta and Maunav Reddy from Vizag International School and Bharathi and here sister Meghana from Bethany School enjoyed every bit of the show and played all the games. Vice-Chairman of Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority K. Sasidhar inaugurated the programme. General Manager of the Novotel Mohammed Shoeb said the ‘Kids Carnival' was organised since it was the perfect way to start the hotel's operations as kids always bring in positive energy to a place. The event was supported by MNM, Party Town, Pages, Pepsi, Baskin & Robbins and Mom & Me. Big FM 92.7 was the official host.
