A classical treat for audience

As part of the lecture-demonstration organised at Sainik School, Korukonda in Vizianagaram district, Bharatanatyam exponent Revathi Ramachandran and her daughter Manaswini Ramachandran treated the audience to a number of items on Sunday.

‘Ganapati Stuti’, ‘Jati Swara’, ‘Krishna in Brindavan’, Sita Swayamwaram’ and ‘Shuddha Nrutyam’ were some of the themes presented on the occasion. Besides, the duo highlighted various mudras that form a part of the dance form.

With Nandini on vocal and nattuvangam, Sukhi on Mrudangam and R. Selva Prasad on violin, the SPIC MACAY programme was dedicated to the departed souls including veteran Carnatic vocalist Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, Mandolin maestro U. Srinivas and renowned sarangi maestro Ustad Sabri Khan.
