Students of Sri Prakash Vidya Soudham of Payakaraopeta in Viskahapatnam district sit in the form 'Jai Ganesha' on the school premises on Wednesday.

Ingraining traditional values and spreading the message louder than ever before, a plethora of institutions have charged up to celebrate Ganesh Chavithi with a bunch of green concepts.

With the eco-friendly Ganesh idols greeting at every nook and corner of the city, voluntary organisations, schools and colleges are keen on connecting with a wide network of people in their own way. Apart from popularising ‘Go Green Ganesha’, students of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan took a pledge on sticking to the use of eco-friendly elephant-headed idols and curb pollution levels to the extent possible. Symbolising ‘Jai Ganesha’, the students from all branches sat on the playground of the premises.

A total of 150 clay idols were made by the students of Minerva Public School here on Wednesday. According to the school staff, free idols will be given away to schoolchildren across all branches of the school on Thursday.
