Student injured in wall collapse succumbs

Irate relatives stage dharna

One of the three students injured in a wall-collapse at Zilla Parishad High School on Friday evening at V. Madugula, succumbed in the small hours on Saturday at King George Hospital.

The deceased was identified as P. Naveen (15). Parents and relatives of the deceased and injured students staged protest in front the school seeking action against the head teacher for negligence.

Students P. Naveen, S. Sai Srinivas and J. Sriram were injured after the wall of a partially-demolished shed caved in on them when they were playing.

The condition of two other students is stated to be stable.

The aggrieved crowd also detained the Deputy DEO K. Suvarna and few others in a room for sometime. A police force led by sub-inspector of V Madugula V.U. Mahesh rushed the spot and later pacified them.
