Sneha Sandhya launches 'Narayana Seva'

Marking its seventh anniversary, Sneha Sandhya, a recreation/welfare society for senior citizens, has launched a programme ‘Narayana Seva' in which it will adopt three old-age homes and provide food and medical care for 150 persons every month.

Another programme ‘Mahaprasthanam' aims at providing physical, financial and emotional support to bereaved families of elders.

At the anniversary on Saturday, Sneha Sandhya chairman K.J.R. Sarma gave details of programmes being conducted by the organisation since inception. It would also participate actively in activities related to implementation of “Maintenance of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007.”

Secretary M.V. Ramana said about 50 programmes were conducted in the past one year.

President of AP Senior Citizens Confederation Ch. Parameswara Reddy who was the chief guest assured total support in coordinating with the State government and getting due concessions to senior citizens.

A “sujok” therapist G. Radhakrishna was honoured. Sneha Sandhya advisor P. Rajaganapathi coordinated the programme.
