Visakhapatnam: A minor fire broke out at the Visakh Refinery of HPCL late in the evening on Friday.
None was injured in the fire which occurred in the Crude Destillation Unit-1 of the refinery. “We engaged our fire tenders which extinguished the fire immediately,” an official of HPCL told The Hindu .
As soon as the flames came out from CDU-1, it created panic among a few workers who were on duty. Sources in the district Fire Department said their service was not requisitioned as the fire was brought under control within a few minutes.
