The Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), Visakhapatnam in collaboration with The Hindu organised a ‘walk for water' awareness campaign on the occasion of World Water Day on Monday to create awareness about the importance of water and how to conserve it by protecting and using it judiciously. The walk held on the Beach Road was flagged off by Mayor Pulusu Janardhana Rao.

The theme of the campaign was ‘Save Water for Next Generation'.

A leaflet was designed exclusively for the event to propagate the importance of water and was distributed to the visitors of the Beach Road and among the residential localities.
