Carrying well-designed placards and showcasing the stream of their engineering study some 120 students of Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology enthusiastically initiated the launch of The Hindu Education Plus Club (E-Plus Club) at the institute located at Jonnada, Vizianagaram district, on Thursday.
This was the second college to start four clubs simultaneously, each containing 30 members. The clubs were formed by students from the departments of ECE, EEE, IT and CSE.

Delivering the inaugural address, principal of the college V.V. Rama Reddy advised the students to take up the E-Plus Club activity seriously to better their English language and improve their communication skills. He said: “Before globalisation and the IT boom, the focus during interviews was on core subjects. But now, things are different. The focus is now more on communication skills.”

Apart from pledging their commitment towards the club, by reading a well-written pledge, a few of the members also came forward to express their views.
Chief of Bureau of The Hindu, Visakhapatnam, B. Prabhakkar Sarma, addressed the students.
