Minister for Transport Botcha Satyanarayana has said that farmers who availed crop loans in kharif last need not pay interest and they would also receive loans from banks for rabi.
He was speaking after distributing input subsidy to 12881farmers at the rate of Rs.1800 per acre, crop insuranceand bank linkages to SHGs from Salur urban, Salur, Pachipenta and Makkuva mandals at Salur on Sunday.
Mr. Satyanarayana, who also unveiled statues of YSR at Sivarampuram and Salur apart from laying the foundation stones for a bridge across River Vegavathi at a cost of Rs. 3.61crores and for gram panchyat building at a cost of Rs. 10 lakhs, assured people that the government would continue schemes introduced by late chief minister YSR.

He informed people that crops in 36000 hectares were damaged in rain during last month and a sum of Rs. 21 crores (approximately) toward compensation was yet to be received from the government.
Collector M. Veerabrahamaiah said that the government had rescheduled Rs. 362crores given as crop loans to farmers in kharif last for a period of three years and they could also avail fresh bank loans for rabi.
He said that the target fixed for rabi loans was Rs. 200crores and already Rs. 60crores was distributed. The Agriculture Department had also kept seeds and fertilizers ready for distribution.

He said that 41 paddy purchasing centres were opened and any farmer facing difficulty could contact the toll free number 1077 for assistance.
Salur MLA P. Rajanna Dora, Zilla Parishad Chairperson B. Chandrasekhar and other officials were present.
