Immersed in his music, Ch. Sanyasi Rao of Vizianagaram cast a spell on the audience gathered on the beach road on Sunday morning.
The visually challenged violin maestro’s fingers danced on the strings helping the bow make the instrument speak. Playing the morning ragas, he drew the morning walkers to stop to tune into the concert; a few who did come in stayed on. The two-hour programme in the beautiful weather on the beach road had the gathering wanting more. The light drizzle that covered the sunrise stopped and the cloud cover proved a perfect foil for the Sun.
Mr. Sanyasi Rao, a disciple of Dwaram Durga Prasada Rao, in his performance carried the inimitable signature of the Dwaram family, Carnatic musician Jwala Prasad said reviewing the performance. Anyone can give a concert, but only a few can produce music that mesmerises the audience, he added.

Keeping the maestro company was Mantha Sriramya on violin and Guntaku Venkata Rao on mridangam.
The performance was attended by founder president of the Visakha Music and Dance Academy CSN Raju among others.
