Boulders fall on tracks, traffic disrupted near Borra Caves

On Wednesday, the passenger train was cancelled following the derailment of a goods train on the line. Landslips have become common occurrence.

Incessant rains during the past few days led to landslips and falling of boulders on the railway track along the hill slopes between Borra Caves and Karakavalasa on the Visakhapatnam - Kirandul line on Thursday.

Train no. 58501 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Passenger will be partially cancelled between Visakhapatnam and Koraput and train no. 58502 Passenger will be short terminated at Koraput and will return to Kirandul on Friday (June 19).

On Wednesday, the passenger train was cancelled following the derailment of a goods train on the line. Landslips are common occurrence on the KK Line causing disruption of traffic on the highly important commercial route.
