Self-control is very essential for the present generation. One can see God in oneself by controlling the wavering mind and conquering elements such as ‘panchbuthalu’ and ‘trigunalu’, said chairman of World Teachers Trust Kambhampati Parvathi Kumar, delivering a lecture on distractions and control of mind.

“One should read autobiographies of great people like Swamy Jnanananda to get inspired in life. Education without values and truth would always be incomplete. It is important to nurture the knowledge by being helpful to others in society,” he said during the 116 birth anniversary celebrations of Swamy Jnanananda organised by Viplava Jyothi Alluri Seetharamaraju Samajika Samskruthika Seva Kendram (VJASSSSK) at Kshatriya Kalyana Mandapam here on Tuesday.

The achievements of the saint turned scientist Swamy Jnananda were recollected by a group of community members on the occasion. A compassionate nuclear scientist who started a separate Nuclear Physics Department in Andhra University was known as Bhupathiraju Lakshminarasimha Raju before becoming a sanyasi. After performing a series of research, he authored many books on philosophy of yoga, nuclear science and elements of nuclear physics.
