VISAKHAPATNAM: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council C. Ramachandraiah has demanded that an all-party meeting be convened on the issue of properties belonging to Andhra Pradesh, including Secretariat in Hyderabad.
On the demand of the Telangana Government to hand over it the properties, the Chief Minister said he would take a decision after discussing in the Cabinet and none would oppose him in the Cabinet, said Mr. Ramachandraiah.
Since it involved the interests of the State and Andhra Pradesh was entitled to utilise them for 10 years, an all-party meeting should be called, he said at a press conference here.

Mr. Ramachandraiah said the Chief Minister was acquiescing in all the demands of the Telangana Government because of his involvement in the “cash-for-vote” scandal.
Women’s parliament
The Congress leader assailed the conduct of the National Women’s Parliament by spending a lot of money, and wanted to know what it achieved. Not even a declaration was announced, he added. “Is it meant for people like Nara Brahmani or Deepa Venkat, and what is their achievement?” Mr. Ramachandraiah asked. The meeting failed to accommodate the voice of the marginalised sections, he said.

Special status
Though MoUs to the tune of ₹4 lakh crore were signed in the previous year, industries did not come to the State, he said. Industries would be set up if concessions were given, he said and only Special Category Status could get them, he said.
Congress was committed to getting it if it came to power on its own or in alliance in 2019 elections, he said. Mr. Ramachandraiah accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of indulging in “policy corruption.”
A number of projects were being sanctioned by changing rules in favour of people close to the party, escalating cost, and giving approvals, he alleged.
