AU told to focus on quality teaching

Principal Secretary of Higher Education Sumita Dawra advised the Andhra University administration to focus on ensuring quality teaching and research by the faculty and research scholars, here on Monday. Addressing a review meeting on quality education and research in AU, she said the State government was keen on maintaining high academic standards in universities and asserted that teachers and research scholars should update their knowledge and communication and soft skills.

She said the State universities should work towards developing international academic and research collaborations with universities and industries of repute.

Andhra University Vice-Chancellor G. Nageswara Rao, Rector E.A. Narayana, Registrar V. Umamaheswara Rao, Principal Andhra University College of Engineering P. S. Avadhani and Principal of Science College C.V. Raman and others were present.
