Teja Tripurana

Though ‘Rani Gari Bangla’ received a lukewarm response at the box office, Teja Tripurana’s part as a bad guy in the flick has not gone unnoticed.

Born and brought up in Visakhapatnam, this up-and-coming actor says he has been fascinated by the glamour and glitter of cinema right from his childhood. In an interview to The Hindu , he talks about his future projects, his admiration for Pawan Kalyan and passion to do a range of roles.

What seemed to be a casual visit to meet filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma in Vijayawada recently turned out to be a pleasant surprise for Teja. “I am extremely excited to secure a role in his next flick. Though it may not be a significant portrayal but I am happy to be part of RGV’s brand,” he beams.

Teja’s next films with directors Prasad and Sreenu will hit the screens in a few months. He says he adores Pawan Kalyan for his unmatched style. “The other hero I draw inspiration from is Nani. He has abundant talent. It is hard to make a mark in the film industry without a background and Nani broke this norm.” shares B.Tech graduate who also runs an event management company in port city and Tirupati.

In a highly-competitive industry, Teja appears to be confident that he can create his own space. “There can never be a template for success. While it takes time for some, it happens overnight for a few. But what plays a significant part is how we captivate the audience with our confidence and inherent skills,” says Teja, adding that he looks forward to experiment with diverse roles.

One of Teja’s biggest aspirations is to work with directors like S.S. Rajamouli, Puri Jagannadh and V.V. Vinayak. His first film ‘You For Me’ never saw the light of the day. However, it is the same movie that brought him closer to his soul mate Nakshatra.
