And the same is with Director Raj Mukherjee, four out of six of the films that he directed was shot in Visakhapatnam. And the most favoured place is the Ramanaidu Film Studio. This place is unique. Not only for the director or the producer, even the lead actress Rituparna Sengupta, who received the National Award for best actress for her sterling performance in Rituparno Ghosh’s film ‘Dahan’, is in awe of the city.

“This is my fourth trip to the city. And my love for the city swells with every visit. The sight of the vast expanse of the sea from Ramanaidu Studio is enchanting and I have never come across a studio locale with such a combination of the sea and the hills,” said the twinkle-eyed Rituparna. Though it is the first visit for both the lead heroes Priyanshu Chatterjee of Tum Bin fame and Badshah Moitra, the duo is in love with the city. “Not only that the settings are fantastic, but the city appears to be hassle free. Wish to come back for many for shoots,” said Priyanshu. In the case of Badshah, he seems to have set his mind to spend his Durga Puja holidays here.
