Young physicians told to focus on research

Homeopathy physicians from across the State discussed the latest treatment methods for various ailments at the 14th A.P. State Convention of Indian Institute of Homeopathic Physicians (IIHP) here on Sunday.

Physicians from various private hospitals and government hospitals, researchers and students from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka attended the day-long convention.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. B.D. Patel of Bangalore, who worked as director, dean and principal at several homeopathic medical colleges, and current chairman of the Board of Studies, Bangalore University, gave a presentation on ‘Perfect health without a Doctor’.

Dr. Patel, a practising homeopathy physician, gave a power-point presentation on ‘Healthy pregnancy through homeopathy’, ‘Homeopathy in building healthy kids’, ‘Character building and personality development’ citing case studies. Dr. Musunuri Suresh of Vijayawada spoke about ‘Ischemic heart disease - Homeopathic approach’. Presenting some case studies, Dr. Suresh narrated how some chronic diseases could be cured with homeopathy medicine.

Dr. Anuradha of Rajahmundry gave a presentation on ‘Homeopathic Management of Orthopaedic Cases’, and Dr. Suresh Somayajulu of Visakhapatnam gave a talk, ‘A prelude to womb talk’ during the scientific session.

Earlier, Divisional Railway Manager N.K. Prasad, who inaugurated the meet, asked young doctors to focus on research activity. IIHP national president Dr. Ramakanth B Dagade, former national president Dr. K.R.K. Prabhakar Murthy, Central Council of Homeopathy member Dr. N. Srinivas and IIHP A.P. State president Dr. K.S.S. Siva Murthy spoke.

IIHP Guntur district chapter secretary Dr. D. Narendra Nath, scientific committee chairman M.D.V. Ramana Rao and A.P. State president of honour Dr. K.V.A. Padmanabham participated.
