Government will act as per the High Court orders on the ongoing junior doctors’ strike across the State. There are quite a few issues connected with junior doctors’ strike and the government is committed in addressing their issues, said Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas here on Friday.
“Authorities are regularly holding meetings with agitating doctors at different venues and trying to break the deadlock. We are positive about the issue,” said Mr. Srinivas on the sidelines of a programme in the city.
Meanwhile, the junior doctors are continuing their strike and are conducting different programmes as part of their agitation across the State. In Vijayawada, junior doctors distributed pamphlets to general public about their agitation.

In Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors Association (APJUDA) president P. Kranthi Kumar claimed that Indian Medical Association national coordinator Dr. Appa Rao had met junior doctors at Sri Venkateswara University medical college and extended support to the junior doctors’ strike.
Mr. Kumar said the Telangana Junior Doctors demands were different from the APJUDA demands. “We want the government to immediately commence our registrations with State medical council without insisting on any clauses. This apart, implementation of 2012 bipartite agreement, which focuses on improvement of infrastructure in hospitals and other services,” said Mr. Kumar.
