Village secretary, surveyor in ACB net

A team of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials led by circle inspector Mr. Nagaraju trapped R. Bhavani Prasad, Panchayat Secretary and G. Jagannadha Rao, licensed surveyor, at Kaikalur, while they were receiving bribe from a house owner Ananda Rao.

They demanded Rs 20,000 to give approval for a two-storied building owned by the complainant but settled for Rs 8,000. On a tip-off by Ananda Rao, the ACB team caught the duo red-handed at the MPDO office in Kaikalur. They were taken into custody .
