Divisional Railway Manager Pradeep Kumar presented 768 individual awards to employees from all branches of the division, 20 individuals awards to officers, 63 group awards and 18 shields at the Railway Week awards function held at the Railway High School here on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Mr. Pradeep Kumar said Vijayawada was poised to become one of the best performing divisions in the Indian Railways due its impressive rate of growth. Vijayawada Division won the South Central Railway General Manager’s Efficiency Shield for 2013-14.
Mr. Pradeep Kumar asserted that the image of Railways was dependent on passenger services like quality catering and punctuality of trains. Passenger amenities have been focus area on a consistent basis.
