Update knowledge on circuit boards, students told

Silicon Touch Technologies in association with NRI Institute of Technology (NRIIT) organised a three-day workshop from October 24 to 26, on Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) Design on the college campus at Agiripalli in Krishna district.

Speaking at the valedictory programme here on Sunday, NRIIT chairman R. Venkat Rao said the workshop was organised by Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) students and staff. About 150 students of the group attended the event and discussed advanced technologies in PCB, he said.

While asking the budding engineers to have updated knowledge on circuit boards, he advised them to give equal priority for designing circuits, labs and research on par with theoretical classes.

College principal C. Naga Bhaskar asked students to acquaint knowledge on latest technologies by searching related sites in the Internet. He appealed to the youngsters to make use of the technology which is a must for securing good jobs in reputed firms.

Silicon Technologies representative U. Kumar gave a power point presentation on latest circuit boards and clarified the doubts raised by students. ECE dean R. Sunitha and head of the department V. Srinivasa Rao detailed the students on different types of soldering, circuits and equipment.
