UDA discusses park proposal with land owners

The Vijayawada Guntur Tenali Mangalagiri Urban Development Authority (VGTM UDA) convened a meeting with some land owners to discuss the riverfront park proposal on Thursday.

According to information, 16 interested people, who own about 20 acre land near Berm Park here, were invited for discussions. The UDA put forward various proposals, including public-private partnership (PPP) mode, before them. The land, which the UDA is looking for, costs Rs. 3 crore per acre. When contacted, UDA vice-chairman G.S.R.K.R. Vijay Kumar said that the land owners had responded positively to the UDA's proposals. The UDA was preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for the riverfront park project. Exact land required for, and budget for the park etc., would be disclosed after the project report was finalised, he said.
