The city police will impose traffic restrictions to avoid traffic jams during EAMCET, to be held on May 10. Police advised the parents, students and the college staff not to come on to roads in groups and cause traffic congestions.
About 38,000 students would be appearing for the test in 45 centres under Krishnalanka, Machavaram, Penamaluru, Suryaraopeta, One and Two Town, Satyanarayanapuram and Patamata police station limits in the city.
Police are taking measures to avoid any inconvenience for the students attending the test, according to City Police Commissioner N. Madhusudhan Reddy.

Section 144 would be imposed within 250 metres radius at all the centres. Public, students, college staff and parents are requested not to move in groups at the examination centres.
All the internet and Photostat centres should remain close.
The colleges or the coaching centres have been requested not to send students out of the premises immediately after the examination. Parents have been requested to pick up their children in the evening after the medicine examination.

Public and the college managements have been instructed not to park vehicles at the centres and cause traffic jams.
Lorries and other transport vehicles proceeding from Machilipatnam and Gudivada towards Vijayawada, would be diverted at Kankipadu, Punadipadu and Keesarapalli. Lorries moving towards Machilipatnam from Vijayawada (via. Benz Circle), would be diverted via. Ramavarappadu and Enikepadu.
Vehicles coming from Gollapudi, would be diverted via. Gollapudi bypass, Sitara Centre, Runnel, Milk Project, Chittinagar, Errakatta, BRTS and reach Ramavarappadu. Public are request to cooperate with the police for peaceful conduct of EAMCET, said Mr. Reddy.
