High-end exhibition showcases bridal wear and designer dresses

It is time to gear up and start shopping for the upcoming wedding season and the three-day “Fashion and Lifestyle Exhibition Cum Sale” is the perfect place to begin. The Exhibition, organised by Parinaya events was opened to public at the Sri Sesha Sai Kalyana Vedika on Saturday in the city.

The high-end exhibition will showcase bridal wear and other designer dresses for special occasions. MLA (Central) Malladi Vishnu’s wife Ms. Kiranmayee cut the ribbon for this event and expressed her happiness at getting so much variety all under one roof. She requested the organisers to conduct such exhibitions on a regular basis in Vijayawada.

The 60-stall exhibition will have designers from Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur Kolkata and Chennai displaying some of their best designs. Apart from the usual designer blouses, sarees, kurtas, the exhibition also had handlooms, imitation jewellery as well as some authentic gold and diamond jewellery from shops like Sri Bhavani Jewels from Hyderabad. T.V.Rao, organiser of the exhibition, spoke on the occasion and said that keeping in mind the traditional mindset of Vijayawada people Kancheevaram, Benaras, Jarikota sarees were also available at this exhibition. Apart from these, other accessories and footwear were also on display said Mr.Rao.

One of the more innovative stalls was Vazra’s carving and hobby centre. The centre offers special courses in cooking, crafting, saree draping which are usually considered a necessity for any bride. The place also offers special services like gift wrapping of gifts for events like engagement and weddings. The exhibition will be open to public from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. till July 9.
