Ticket checking drive fetches Rs. 3.43 cr. for railway division

The Vijayawada Division of South Central Railway fetched nearly Rs. 3.43 crore during a ticket checking drive conducted last month under the supervision DRM Ashok Kumar, Additional DRM N.S.R. Prasad and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager N.V. Satyanarayana.During the checking, 1,10,238 passengers travelling without tickets and carrying unbooked luggage were detected and an amount of Rs. 3.42 crore was realised from them. During a cleanliness drive conducted throughout the division during the same month, 1,932 cases of littering of the Railway premises were booked and Rs. 3.87 lakh was collected from the violators.
