She should come out with proof, says party official spokesperson

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has reacted sharply to YSR Congress Party leader Y.S. Sharmila’s allegations that the Telugu Desam Party is responsible for spreading rumours on social media which linked her with Bahubali actor Prabhas.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, TDP MLC and official spokesperson Y.V.B. Rajendraprasad condemned the allegations. The TDP has no such legacy or culture.

Ms. Sharmila should come out with proof to support her claims. The YSRCP leaders could not stomach the ₹2,000 pension announced by the TDP president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Hence, they were levelling baseless allegations.

The social media was making false propaganda against the TDP and the Chief Minister. Who is responsible for it? Will Ms. Sharmila takes responsibility for it, he asked.

At another press conference, AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation chairman Vemuri Anand Surya condemned the allegations by Ms. Sharmila. He also said that neither YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy nor Ms. Sharmila has moral right to ask for votes in Andhra Pradesh as they don’t have faith in local police, he said.
