Student dies as bus hits autorickshaw

A B. Pharmacy student, Ch. Veena (21), was killed and two others were injured in a road accident on the city outskirts on Tuesday. The victim was studying in NRI Pharmacy College at Pothavarappadu village, in Krishna district.

According to college principal, Dr. Y.A. Choudary, the mishap occurred when a speeding bus proceeding from Nuzvid to Vijayawada hit the autorickshaw, at a curve, in which Veena was travelling. She suffered critical injuries and died while being shifted to hospital.

Veena, daughter of Venkaiah, was a native of Narsingapalem village in Agiripalli mandal.

Agiripalli police are investigating the case.
