The spirit of national unity and integration soared high, as NCC cadets drawn from across the country displayed their multifaceted talents at the cultural programme organised at the ongoing National Integration Camp here on Wednesday
The camp is being hosted by the NCC Directorate (Andhra Pradesh) and the 22 (A) Battalion, NCC, Tenali, at VSR & NVR College (Autonomous).
Be it the gorgeous Bhangra dance by cadets from Punjab, or the traditional dances of Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, or the patriotic group song by cadets from Andhra Pradesh, the programme was a tribute to the secular threads weaving across the nation to form a myriad canvas full of colour. Waves of patriotic fervour swept across the auditorium as the cadets performed with ease.

What stood out was the performance by the cadets of the North Eastern Region as they swayed easily to the beat of the poles clamped together.
The Bamboo dance had two dancers dressed in traditional Mizo costumes swaying across the poles clamped together by boys.
As the girls effortlessly moved from one pole to another with a constant smile on their faces, the audience watched in awe.

Group skit
The programme had a group skit that displayed patriotic fervour. Cadets from the Maharashtra directorate dressed in battle fatigues displayed the valour of the Army in the song ‘Ma Tuje Salaam’.
Mithali displayed the variation of dance in a classical dance form.
Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University K. Viyanna Rao was the chief guest at the programme. Deputy Director-General of Andhra Pradesh NCC Directorate Suresh Badyal was present.
Group Commander of NCC, Guntur, Colonel Narendra Babu, said 700 cadets from 16 directorates across the country have been taking part in the NIC camp since January 7. The camp will conclude on January 18.
