Sepak takraw camp concludes

An young players honing skills during sepak takraw summer camp in Vijayawada.

The month-long residential summer camp of sepak takraw came to conclusion here on Monday in which 40-odd youngsters from all over Andhra Pradesh, both boys and girls, honing their advanced skills under the watchful eye of the coaches and administration.

The camp, organised by Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh, came as a shot in the arm to the youngsters as it gave them an opportunity to train in a systematic way for bigger challenges. “We left no stone unturned to give them the best of facilities, We gave them nutritious food and also air conditioned accommodation with the help of the SKPVV High School Management,” said Krishna district Sepak Takraw Association secretary S Ramesh.

He said M. Pavan (Tenvic) and D Srinivasa Rao (Ongole) imparted advanced skills along with fitness regimes and endurance tests.

SAAP Officer-On-Special Duty P. Ramakrishma, SAAP director P. Ravindranath, SKPVV High School secretary M. Subba Rao, Krishna district Sepak Takraw Association president P. Bala Murali Krishna took part in the valedictory function.
