In order to clear extra rush during Sankranti, the South Central Railway will run special Jan-Sadharan trains between Tirupati and Narsapur via new Guntur station.
The schedule of trains is as follows: Train No-07029 Tirupati-Narsapur Jan Sadharan special will leave from Tirupati at 8 a.m. on January 13 and arrive at new Guntur station at 2.08 p.m. before reaching Narsapur at 7.30 p.m. the same day.
In the return direction, Train No-07030 Narsapur-Tirupati Jan Sadharan special will leave from Narsapur at 7.15 a.m. on January 14 and will arrive at new Guntur station at 1.30 p.m. before reaching Tirupati at 10 p.m. the same day. Meanwhile, a ticket checking drive at Kondapalli and Rayanapadu railway stations under the supervision of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager N.V. Satyanarayana fetched Rs. 70,560 for the Vijayawada division.

A total of 144 cases of ticketless travel and un-booked luggage cases were detected and penalties realised from as many as 132 passengers.
Twelve passengers who failed to pay fine were prosecuted. Services of 20 ticket checking squads, in-charge supervisors and four RPF and GRP personnel were utilised for the purpose. Special drives will be conducted daily according to the instructions of the Railway Board, and an amount of Rs. 500 will be imposed as fine on offenders.
