Mr Naidu said the festivities should be grander than the recent Godavari Pushkarams as pilgrims are likely to turn up in large numbers drawn by the Amaravati foundation ceremony on October 22. He directed officials to conduct the annadanam programme in a big way to ensure food distribution to all pilgrims and suggested that they seek the help of the Akshaya Patra Foundation, if need be.

He wanted Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Amaravati and Tirupati to be decked up with lights from October 13 and directed the officials to ensure that a festive atmosphere prevails in every town across the State.
