Private bus goes up in flames, none injured

A private bus went up in flames at Tummalapalem village on the city outskirts on Thursday. All the passengers were safe and no one was injured in the mishap, said the police.

According to sources, smoke emanated from the bus when it reached Ibrahimpatnam mandal. Immediately, the passengers jumped out from the bus and within no time, fire engulfed the entire vehicle.

The bus was proceeding from Hyderabad to Vijayawada when the incident took place. Police, Fire and other department officials rushed to the spot. The reason for fire was not known immediately.
