The State government will introduce Mee Kosam, an online grievance redressal system, as part of efforts to expeditiously resolve public grievances.
Slated for launch on Sankranti, the new system is considered as a prelude to the State government’s plan to roll out Smart AP. Mee Kosam is being designed to keep track of the complaints registered by the people and users could know the status of their complaints by logging on to the system typing their grievance number or Aadhar number.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who reviewed the progress of Information Technology projects in the State with senior officials on Wednesday said the State Government would shortly launch the Sunrise AP start up programme. The Chief Minister was informed that the proposed IT incubation centres at Tirupati and Kakinada were ready for inauguration and the former wanted similar centres to be started in universities and colleges.

Mr. Naidu directed the IT department to launch digital literacy camps in Anantapur, Chittoor, Guntur, West Godavari and Srikakulam districts. The officials concerned would be trained by experts in the field and the first phase of the digital literacy centres would be completed by March.
The Chief Minister told the officials that the Central government sought certain clarifications relating to the proposed IT Investment Region at Visakhapatnam and the State was confident of securing necessary clearances once the clarifications were given. The government on its part would lay foundation stone for the signature tower, a replica of the State’s IT development, in Visakhapatnam.
He wanted the IT department officials to contribute their bit for redressal of public grievances by setting up an e-governance society in this direction. The e-governance society would function under the supervision of a CEO and Chief Technology Officer.

He exhorted the officials concerned to draft the Right to Good Governance Bill, a first of its kind initiative of the government. He wanted the department to monitor distribution of tabs to officials at different levels for uploading the progress of government works from time to time.
