Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu instructed the officials to form a Capital Region Unified Transport Authority (CRUTA) on the lines of Transport for London (TfL) to have the best of urban transport systems in Amaravati. This is essential for Amaravati to become a smart city which has been high on the Government’s agenda, said Mr. Naidu in a teleconference with senior officials on his three-nation tour.
Mr. Naidu directed the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) to maintain top quality in the infrastructure creation in what is going to be a Greenfield city. He emphasised that the constructions should be completed in a time-bound manner. He stated that his focus was on attracting foreign investments and technology into the agriculture sector for enhancing productivity. Round-the-clock power supply, he asserted, was a boon for investors, who can be assured of transparency in approvals and project implementation.

Mr. Naidu said while other governments mulled new land acquisition Act, the A.P government handled the procurement without any hindrance through land pooling with the unstinted support of farmers.
Principal Secretary (CRDA, energy and infrastructure and investments) Ajay Jain told the CM that the land procurement for 10 arterial roads was completed and steps being taken for flood mitigation.
Ministers P. Narayana and K. Kala Venkat Rao, Special Chief Secretary Satish Chandra, Amaravati Development Corporation Chairperson Lakshmi Parthasaradhi, Secretary to CM G. Sai Prasad, Principal Secretary IT, MD AP-Genco and CMD AP-Transco K. Vijayanand, CRDA Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar and Special Commissioner V. Rama Manohara Rao were among those present.
