Crops in entire Krishna delta must be saved by releasing water from Nagarjuna Sagar Project and not selectively released for Right Canal as announced by the government, Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu said.
In his thanks giving message to people of Guntur after entering Krishna district on Wednesday in his second spell of ‘Vastunna Meekosam’ padayatra at Penumudi bridge, he said the State had received a raw deal in the Railway Budget presented in Parliament on Tuesday.
“The Congress has 32 MPs in Parliament, but could not ensure sanction of projects or release of funds for the on-going railway projects,” he said.

The MPs were busy promoting their own businesses and did not bother about the people’s problems or needs, though they had made a hue and cry last year after the budget, he said.
Addressing a gathering, Mr. Naidu criticised the State government and stated that development had come to a standstill because of maladministration.
The TDP alone would be able to put the administration back on the right track and improve the power situation, he asserted.
