: Human Resource Development Mminister G. Srinivas Rao and Home Minister N. Chinarajappa came down heavily on Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham for repeatedly writing letters to the Government flaying N. Chandrababu Naidu despite his continuous efforts for the welfare of the Kapu community. “Are you the lone representative of the Kapu community? If so, why are you speaking only now? Have you not involved YSRC leader B. Karunakar Reddy and yourself along with the people from Rayalaseema in the Kapu Aikya Garjana that saw violence? If you are not involved, then come out with the names,” Mr. Srinivas Rao challenged Mr. Padmanabham at a press conference here on Wednesday.

Mr. Chinarajappa accused Mr. Karunakar Reddy and YSRC chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy of playing a key role in the incident at Tuni. “ Mr. Karunakar Reddy and Mr. Jagan are involved in it. Mr. Jagan is disturbing all the communities in the State by catching hold of one of the key leaders in each group,” he added. However, Mr. Chinarajappa said that the names of those behind the violence would emerge only after completion of investigation. He alleged that the letters sent by Mr. Padmanabhan were drafted at Mr. Jagan’s newspaper office. The language too is derogatory. The Government is taking all possible steps to reach out to the Kapus, he added.
