Let’s bring back golden rule of YSR, says Vijayamma

The YSR Congress Party on Wednesday urged the people to support it to bring back the golden age of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy rule in the State.

“The developmental works and implementation of welfare schemes have come to a grinding halt after sudden and suspicious demise of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. The future is in your hands. Let us wage a united struggle to topple the Congress government and bring back golden rule of YSR,” said party honorary president Y.S. Vijayamma.

Gudivada MLA and TDP leader Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani), TDP polit Bureau member Uppuleti Kalpana, Congress leader and former Zilla Parishad Chairman Kukkala Nageswara Rao, industrialist Vaka Vasudeva Rao and others joined the YSR Congress party in the presence of Ms. Vijayamma at a public meeting here on Wednesday.

On the occasion, Ms. Vijayamma said that the YSR was still alive in the hearts of people though the Congress party and its leaders have forgotten him. As many as 700 people died following death of YSR. None of the leaders have condoled their families. In fact, it took three long months for the government to convene a condolence meeting of Dr. Reddy, she said. It was only YSR government that did not burden the people with taxes; there was no hike in power tariff or seeds or fertilizers during his rule.
