Krishna district records 4,028 mm rain in 24 hours

Many parts of the Krishna district continued to be lashed by intermittent spells of rain on Saturday. With the Meteorological Department predicting more rain in the next few days, the district administration has taken steps to mitigate the impact.

Krishna district received a total rainfall of 4,028 mm in the last 24 hours ending on Saturday morning, with an average of 80.60 mm for 50 mandals. Penamalur mandal recorded the highest rainfall of 174.2 mm, while Koduru recorded the lowest of 9.4 mm. Sixteen mandals, Agiripalli, Chatrai, Gannavaram, Gudivada, G.Konduru, Kaikalur, Kankipadu, Mandavalli, Mylavaram, Nandigama, Na-ndivada, Nuzvid, Penamalur, Vijayawada rural, Vijayawada urban and Vissannapet received over 100 mm rainfall.
