Union Minister of State for Finance J.D. Seelam on Tuesday faced the ire of united Andhra protagonists, with agitators urging a local star hotel not to allow the Union Minister for hold a scheduled press conference, alleging him to be against the Samaikyandhra movement.

The Minister was forced to hold the press conference in the portico of the hotel, where he had to face some difficult questions from the media amid slogan-shouting by Samaikyandhra agitators outside the hotel main gate.

He, however, refused to say if he was for or against the division of the State. The Minister said that he was for the resolution of the issue through talks and giving all possible financial help to both the regions for development.
