International travel fair beckons tourists

The India International Travel Exhibition (IITE) will conduct the seventh travel and tourism exhibition at Vedika Function Hall, at Benz Circle in the city from February 27 to March 1.

The three-day event will focus on international and domestic tourist destinations, hotels, resorts, tour operations and the best service providers of various States, Tourism Corporations and Railways, said IITE director Anurag Gupta. Speaking to the newsmen here on Wednesday, he said Tourism Development Corporations from Kerala, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and other States would display different packages and projects in the exhibition.

Thailand Tourism Director is also likely to participate in the expo. “The theme of the event is to boost tourism at national and international level. Corporate houses, industries, friends, families and other interested can book packages for summer vacations, weekends, honeymoon and business meets to their favourite spots,” said Mr. Gupta.
