Ham Radio training from September 15

Ham Radio Training centre coordinator A. Ramesh Babu on Wednesday said that the training for lifetime license will commence on September 15 commemorating the birthday of legendary engineer M. Visvesyaraya. He said that training programme was designed especially for the aspirants having electronic background. “The course is suitable to candidates who studied Electronics and Communication Engineering and those pursing their third and fourth year of ECE. The special training is intended to bring more people into Ham Radio particularly from the ECE fraternity,” he added.

After the completion of the programme, the wireless planning and coordination wing, Ministry for Communication, Department of Telecommunication, will conduct Ham Radio examinations. “The lifetime Ham radio licences will be awarded to those candidates who quality in the exam,” he added.

Those candidates interested in this programme may give their names for registration process on or before September 13.
