Gateforum, a leading coaching institute for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), promoted by alumni of IIMs and IITs, announced the launch of its training centre here on Tuesday.
It is situated in Krishna Nagar 1st line (Door No. 3-29-78) and is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure for delivering the training modules.
Announcing the launch of the centre, Gateforum director Abhijit Chaudhari said Andhra Pradesh accounted for more than 18 per cent (1,39,914) of the total GATE 2012 registrations and Guntur recorded 6,267 registrations.

GATE is the second largest qualifying exam in India after AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Test) with 6.86 lakh candidates taking the test in 2012.
The number of applicants is expected to go up to 7.50- 8 lakh next year. But, many aspirants do not have access to good quality training. Gateforum Guntur centre head Srinivas Reddy said GATE aspirants in and around Guntur could avail themselves of high quality training offered by the institute from traditional classroom instructions to e-GATE and live Internet-based classes.
