Gas dealers across the district will go on indefinite strike from Tuesday in response to a call given by All India LPG Distributors’ Federation (AILDF) and Federation of LPG Distributors of India (FLDI).
The gas dealers across the country are on a war path as the Government failed to address, what they called, the issues raised by them.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, AP-LPG Dealers’ Association (APLPGDA) State General Secretary Manoj Kumar said that they made umpteen representations to Union Ministry and oil companies regarding the practical problems faced by distributors.

The Government and oil companies were taking unilateral, faulty and wrong policies and the agencies were being held responsible for the fallout. It was unfortunate that the LPG dealers were held responsible and accountable for all the lapses in the system. It was the duty of oil companies to provide appropriate operating systems, he said.
The agencies have been seeking provision of pilfer proof seals for adequate safety and to avoid pilferage. Multiple pricing was also leading to diversion of LPG cylinders and pilferage.
AP-LPGDA State Vice-President Nannapaneni Narayana Rao, Krishna District LPG Dealers’ Association Secretary P. Srinivasa Rao, Vice-Presidents Nimmagadda Subba Rao and Gadde Haribabu were present.
